Camping
Ahh, camping! Sleeping in a tent, morning coffee under the trees, aromatic campfire, chicken sizzling on the grill, the sun setting behind the trees! Camping allows you to really experience the forest, or desert, or seashore, or mountains. Staying in a tent is, of course, much different than staying in a hotel. Sitting in front of the fire after dark, watching the sparks shoot up, hearing the owls calling, and hearing the birds first thing in the morning are experiences not to be missed. Campgrounds are less expensive than hotels, and usually have plenty of activities. Many parks have hiking, swimming, fishing, campfire programs, and boating. There is usually a camp store and laundry. Sometimes a snack bar and/or restaurant, and even souvenirs make camping fun. Campers tend to be friendly, and like to say hello. We like camping, and if you do, or think you might, these are some wonderful places to stay.
