21st Annual Lakeridge Winery Harvest Festival

Lakeridge Winery sits atop a hill in Clermont, Florida. It’s a favorite of ours because in a state that produces mainly sweet, fruity wines, this one does create dry and semi dry wines suitable for the dinner table. Every year they host their harvest festival with wine tastings, tours, food, music, grape stomping, and a plethora of vendors. If you are looking for paintings, photography, toys, jewelry, garden ornaments, clothing, candles, wine charms, or many other items, you’ll find selections here. Food includes ice cream, crab cakes, pulled pork, Greek salads, and chicken. While we were there, we heard really good Southern blues from The Committee, a St. Augustine group. A donation of $2 gets you through the door. Food and drink seemed reasonably priced. Hours were from 10 am until 5 pm, both Saturday and Sunday. The view from the top of the hill is very nice! This is a nice place to spend an afternoon. Hint: Come early to reserve a shady spot.
