Bay Area Renaissance Festival 2010
Bay Area Renaissance Festival 2010
Well met, good gentles! Welcome to the Bay Area Renaissance Festival, also known as BARF! Fun for all is waiting, with games, food, entertainment, rides, and shopping for adults and children. Each week end has a different theme, with varying events. A skit beginning with the mayor, his wife, and some of the townspeople set the scene, and with the procession of King Henry VII and Queen Catherine Parr and their court open the gates and begin the faire. For those who like games, try ax throw, crossbow, Jacob’s ladder, and many others. Food includes the classic smoked turkey leg, veggie burgers, apple dumplings, and other faire fare. The Pirate Feast and the Queen’s Tea combine good food with good entertainment. Be entertained by jousters, jesters, musicians, jugglers, comedy acts, dancers, and singers. Ride the elephants, the carasello, the ponies, or the bungee jump. Apparel, leather, face painting, pottery, jewelry, and art are for sale. A special Children’s Kingdom keeps the little ones interested. It includes a petting zoo, games, and activities. This fair is so big, we recommend two days to see it all. The faire runs weekends between mid February and the end of March from 10 a.m. to 6p.m. Adult admission is $17.95 at the gate or $14.95 advance. Children’s admission is $9.95 at the gate or $7.95 advance. Seniors price is $14.95. BARF is near MOSI in Tampa, Fl. Fare thee well! http://www.bayarearenaissancefest.com/
