Canoeing the Hocking River
A canoe trip on the Hocking River is what we’ve been craving! Hocking Hills Canoe and Livery drives canoeists upriver. Canoe downriver until you reach their building and land –where you started. A staff member will help pull out the canoe. For $32 per canoe, we had two hours to paddle and enjoy the scenery to our heart’s content. It’s an easy ride. The water was low, so twice we had to get out and push, but the day was warm and sunny. There were many, many, trees with huge roots. At one place, there was a rope swing and slide over the river. Looked like fun for somebody!
